Terms of participation

The WTL Katpadi Marathon is a community environmental awareness run organised by We The Leaders on Sunday, 30 August 2026, from Viruthampattu Bus Stand to Senguttai Temple Ground. By registering, you agree to the following.

1. 1. Free entry

   Registration is free. There is no entry fee for either the 5K Run or the 2K Kids Run.

2. 2. You take part at your own risk

   By registering you confirm that you are medically fit to take part in the distance you have chosen. Running events carry a risk of injury. We The Leaders, the organisers, volunteers and partners are not responsible for any injury, illness, loss or damage to personal property arising from your participation. If you feel unwell during the event, stop and speak to a volunteer.

3. 3. Children

   Participants under 18 take part under the supervision and responsibility of a parent or guardian. By registering a child for the 2K Kids Run, you confirm you are their parent or guardian and consent to their participation.

4. 4. Your details

   We collect your name, mobile number, race category and gender, plus an email address and date of birth where you provide them. These are used only to organise and run this event and to contact you about it. We do not sell your details or share them with anyone outside the organising team. To have your registration removed, contact us using the details below.

5. 5. Changes to the event

   The organisers may change the route, timing or arrangements, or cancel the event, where this is necessary for the safety of participants or for reasons beyond our control, such as weather or local authority instructions. Any changes will be communicated to registered participants.
